It is when the notary gives written testimony that the signatures that appear in a private document were placed in his presence, establishing the identity of the signatories and attesting to the day in which the event occurred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Attend the notary in person. It can also be done at home.
- Bring your citizenship card.
- Bring the document to authenticate.

Photo Authentication
The notary will testify to the authenticity of a photograph of a person if he establishes by his senses that it corresponds to him and is attached to a document in which the interested party asserts that it is his and in which he recognizes the signature with which he authorizes said affirmation.
Copy Authentication
It is the diligence through which the notary gives authenticity to the copy of a document whose original is shown to him.
Signature Authentication
It is the diligence through which the notary authenticates the signature stamped on a document by a duly identified user present at the notary's office.
Registered Signature Authentication
It is the diligence through which the notary gives authenticity to the signature that a document bears, as it corresponds to the one that had previously been registered before him by the interested party.
